What is heartburn?
It is a sensation of burning in the chest caused by stomach acid backing up into the esophagus (food pipe).
What are the typical causes of heartburn?
The intake of citrus types of fruit, spicy foods, onions, tomatoes, coffee, chocolate, cheese, and even peppermint amongst others.
Here’s a home remedy that is quick and simple to make.
1 Cup of Water
1 Teaspoon of fresh Ginger
1 Chamomile Tea Bag
1 Teaspoon of Honey
Bring the water to boil and pour into your favorite cup.
Blend or crush and add the fresh ginger.
Ginger is a natural treatment that help improve the digestive system.
Add the Chamomile tea bag.
Chamomile tea is said to have a soothing effect on the digestive system.
Sweeten tea with one teaspoon of honey.
Honey helps reduce upward flow of stomach acid in the digestive system by lining the stomach wall.
Allow to infuse for five minutes and enjoy your delicious tea.
